About this strain

G13 — indica

G-13 (or Government Strain 13) is a chronic Afghan cultivar developed by the US government at the University of Mississippi cannabis research facility. Neville Schoenmaker of Seed Bank in Europe allegedly acquired the strain from a US government employee in the 70s or 80s; it was then preserved via propagation. G-13 produces earthy aromas with nuances of pine and skunk and a subtle berry finish. Creamy, herbal smoke expands in the lungs and exhales cheesy and robust. G-13 is a perfect pairing for relaxation – take it slow for a lazy Sunday sunset, or ease into sleep at the end of a long day.

Frequently asked

Is G13 an indica or sativa?

G13 is a indica. The strain profile is the same wherever you buy it — only the price and which shelves stock it change from store to store.

What does G13 taste like?

Its aroma and flavor are shaped by its Myrcene, Caryophyllene and Pinene terpenes. Terpene data exists for only a small share of products, so where it's available — as it is here — it's worth weighing.
